Day 1 The Destination—That little black dress.

"A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step."---- Confucius

Today is the day I decided to become a women, mom would be so proud, but in all seriousness it’s really important to stop the excuses, decide, and then like Nike so perfectly put’s it “JUST DO IT”. It’s equally important to have a plan and the tools to get you there. My advice would be to enjoy the journey and celebrate the little things.

So let’s begin. I’ve already decided with a little help from my marvelous family to focus for 1 month on become beautiful both inside and out, the plan is to look fabulous in my little black dress by October 10, 2009 which is the 11 year anniversary of the day I met my husband—warning to all you men out there, yes women do make up silly anniversaries for every little thing so be prepared with a constant supplies chocolate, flowers, candies and gifts.
The tools to get me there? The Internet of course the most amazing resource in the world for an endless supply of knowledge—Thank you AL Gore oh and of course Tony Robbins I have a crazy mad crush on him, so I’m told.

***Useless knowledge of the day: 3% of Harvard MBAs make Ten Times as much as the other 97% combined just for writing down clear set goals, and the plans to accomplish them. So write down your goals

****Quote of the day The only way of finding the limits of the possible is by going beyond them into the impossible.Arthur C. Clarke

My Motivation to get stated my disturbing Before pictures--The DRESS--even I had a smok'n body I would still have to find a jacket or something to cover the top a little to reviling for public, I was thinking I would wear it to a candle lit dinner at home with my husband and accidentally blow out the candles.
-warning what having three kids and gaining over 150 with those pregnancies can do to you stomach--yuck it happens to the best of us even a certified personal trainer
yep that right 1,210 lbs--beefy.
Simple steps to beauty today: pant nails, shave legs, and brush hair.--What... small and simple people I don't want to hurt myself.

I Want To Be A Super Model

I guess as long as I can remember, I've had this childhood dream of being a super model, me I know it's hard to imagine, but none the less I still feel this little flame of hope of having this dream come true. Of course I know of all the obstacles I would face if I followed my heart and pursued such a silly ambition, but what kinda of world would this be if people didn't follow their dreams? Mickeal Jordan didn't make his high school basketball team, we would all be in the dark if Edison stopped after 5,999 failures, there are thousand if not millions of examples of wonderful people that had enough courage to go for it. I've never failed at anything, sadly it's because I've always played it safe and lived my life on the sidelines, But not anymore I'm going to go for and who know I might actually find out what dirt tastes like if I fall on my face or I might actually know what it's like to have my dreams come true, either way I feel is better than hidding behind excuses and not getting into the game.

Of course this will be our little secret, I love my friends and family dearly but they are horrible cheerleaders and I always hear "You can't do that."

So I have a lot of work to do--A LOT, and growing up with five brothers I'm completely clueless on this whole being cute, prissy, and adorable, but this should be fun.

Ultimately I hope my journey will be inspiring to those around me. Of course my whole purpose isn't to in anyway to place priority of physical beauty and conformity, I know the only true beauty comes within and all that, this is more about following your dreams, and oddly enough this just happens to be one of them, and I hope women everywhere particularly moms will let there beauty shine forth, and be uplifted, amused, and inspired to get into the game.

PLAY BALL!!!

A Hint From A Horoscope

So today's tip comes from Cosmo--I don't normally read that magazine, maybe it was redbook, I can't remember but a few weeks a got this phone call from someone doing a fund raiser for the special Olympics and I told her I would like to make a cash donation and the lady insisted on sending me a magazine, and that's the one she picked. I guess they want you to get the magazine so you will forget to cancel the subscription and they can keep charging you over and over. I know how marketing works.

So I was flipping through and came across my Horoscope and it made me laugh OK cry a little too, so I thought I would share it. It said this month I should focus on my outward appearance. What a horrible horoscope, see look even the begin of the word is basically horrible. OK OK I can take a hint. First Kiora told me not to wear my hair in a bun, then Kylee said I have a beautiful voice, but my face ruins it--awe the refreshing honesty of children. And then last night I showed a picture to Tim of me holding Kiora when she was a baby and I said "look how cute" and of course he replied "yeah you were, what happened. HA HA. I'm just glad Kamryn has a very limited vocabulary.

So I've decided, yes me, the girl who has in the past 27 years never had a facial, waxed my eyebrows or legs, or had any beauty treatment in fact ever--well except once I had a manicure and it was like torture, anyways I'm am going to devote 1 month to completely transforming my outward appearance from head to toe and became a lady even if it kills me. I think if I can manage med school while working full time, having a baby at home, and one in the oven, and maintaining sanity and a social life and husband and home I can handle a couple of waxes here and there.

I of course am not going to tell my darling hubby and hopefully I will be able to surprise the sport by becoming a smoking hot momma--he defiantly deserves a gorgeous supermodel hot trophy wife wrap around his arm. Now I know this is going to be going completely against everything I believe in and stand for, but it's only for a month and last time I check being pretty never killed anyone, well maybe it has, but I'm a survivor.

A darling quote for inspiration: "I hope people realize that there is a brain underneath the hair and a heart underneath the boobs."-Dolly Parton

I have devoted this entire blog just for this purpose and I will be posting hilarious before and hopefully some amazing after pictures and everything I find about beauty.

I guess all those years of med school just to become a stay at home mommy wasn't an entire waste, because I rock at research.

Stay tuned to see my head to toe makeover--um maybe a month isn't enough time. If you're beautiful and you would like to help me on this worthy goal feel free to leave me your tips and tricks in the comment area. Thanks
